My Top 10 Travel Essentials! [Punkin’s Ramblings]

Hi Friends!

If you’re new to my blog, welcome! My name is Penny Berry aka Punkin, and I write about living a Cg/l lifestyle and lots of fun, crazy adventures in between. I love watching certain videos on YouTube, especially the GQ “Top 10 Essential” videos. So, as I’m relaxing at the hotel waiting for my Daddy to arrive, I thought to myself, “Hey, wait a minute! I’ve been traveling too! Why not show my friends my top 10 essentials?!”… and thus, this post was born. 😉

All of these items are super budget friendly, and I’ll do my best to provide the links, should you wish to purchase them too. I hope these items spark your own inspiration for whenever you go on holiday with your loved ones. Are you ready? Then let’s dive in! ❤

My Top 10 Travel Essentials:

A multi-port USB charging station ($20 USD)

As a blogger and Cg/l author I live with my laptop all the time. I need a hub where I can charge my laptop, phone, fitbit, my daughter’s tablet, all at the same time and this charging station is amazing! For only $20 USD it only takes up one outlet plug and keeps the whole family charged and ready to go at all times. It’s truly a lifesaver.

A large, durable laundry bag ($10 USD for 2)

I absolutely love and swear by this laundry bag that I purchased for $10 USD off of Amazon. It’s durable, very spacious, and the drawstring holds our family of 3’s dirty clothing for several days’ worth with no problem. When we’re traveling it’s nice to have a sack where I can toss our dirty clothes and keep them separated from our suitcases. I also love that this pack comes with two laundry bags! One for colors and one for whites! (Or one for wet, grimy beach clothes lol whatever the case may be).

Sunbeam Heating Pad (small) ($35 USD)

Heat is a lifesaver when you’re traveling. For me, I never know if my anxiety is going to flare up, or if my chest is going to feel tender (hello hormones!). So, keeping a heating pad nearby is essential. This inexpensive one by Sunbeam is perfect to conform to various parts of the body, and it doesn’t get too hot that it would burn your skin. It also has a magnetic clip if you want to wrap it around your neck for some extra relaxation.

Pacifica Facial Wipes ($4.99 USD)

Y’all…. these facial wipes are $5 USD at your local Wal-mart (or on Amazon) but once you use them, I promise you that you will never want to clean your face with anything else. I’ve had people ask me before, “how is your skin so clear?”. My secret? I drink a ton of water. I rarely wear makeup. And I use these wipes to keep my skin as clear as possible! They are so gentle on the skin, they never leave a residue, and they smell like freshly cut pineapple! It’s divine and so cheap. Trust me, you want to try this for yourself.

Sony Pink Foldable Headphones ($19.41 USD)

Now, you know your girl isn’t rich, so I can’t be running out to buy Bose headphones. (Although, Bose if you ever want to sponsor me… hi! I’ll take a free pair, hehe!). Until that happens, I have these excellent, cute headphones that are… $18 USD from Amazon! I can’t use earbuds because they really hurt my ears, so I turn to these. They aren’t soundproof, but the sound quality is excellent and the padding on the ear part is very comfortable. It’s a great budget alternative.

A rainbow medicine dispenser ($7.97 USD)

When I knew that I needed to take anxiety medicine, I said to myself, “If I have to be one of those people toting around medicine… I’m going to look cute doing it. 😉 “. So, I found this cheap, kawaii, rainbow medicine holder. What I love about it is that it’s labeled with the days of the week, so I never forget to take my medicine. I just pop in my vitamins and medicine, and I’m set to travel!

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer 100 SPF Sunscreen ($9 USD on Amazon)

If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m extremely fair-skinned. I burn within 30 minutes of being out in the sun. I also live in California, which is the land of sunny days. So, I need lots of protection when going out and about. I have never once gotten a sunburn since using this sunscreen. It provides maximum protection and doesn’t feel greasy or sticky at all. I also keep this particular aloe on hand just in case I get a little pink (if I’ve missed a spot rubbing the sunscreen in). These two are absolute lifesavers.

Hand Sanitizer ($2.60 USD)

Ask anyone who knows me personally, and they will tell you that I’m slightly neurotic about my hand sanitizer. I have a bottle in my car, and a bottle in my purse. I keep several bottles around the house, and I definitely keep a bottle with me as I travel. Between all the germs people carry, and touching surfaces where thousands of people have been…. yeah, I want a bit of anti-bac to ward off any possible germs or colds lol. Stock up on these, my friends, and if you are flying, grab a few 5 ounce empty bottles or pick out anti-bac that is especially travel-size and you’ll be set!

Builders Tea ($10 USD)

This might not be an essential for everyone, but I love my tea and Builders Tea is simply the best! I try to keep a box with me so that I can have the comforts of home with me while at a hotel. It’s little things like that, that will make your stay more enjoyable. 🙂

A reuseable water bottle ($34.99 USD) and stainless steel straw ($7.98 USD)

I bought this 64 ounce stainless steel water bottle off of Amazon (the color is sweet taffy, for those interested in getting this exact one), and the 100 ounce stainless steel straw off Amazon too. I live with these wherever I go. Instead of buying plastic water bottles (which are horrible for the environment), save yourself a bit of money and time, and refill your water bottle. Many airports now have filtered water dispensers (for free!) that you can use by your gate. Don’t waste your money on over-priced airport snacks and drinks when you can bring your own. 😉
