Good Evening Friends!
If you haven’t noticed by now, my site got a face lift! Yes, I’m testing out a more sleek, minimal look to reflect the minimalist I am at heart 🙂 Y’all let me know if you’re enjoying the new look or not. Comment and let me know. ❤ I’d love your feedback. Tonight we’re diving into part 3 of the Middles series and keeping things lighthearted with 5 Netflix movies that middles are sure to love. As I pondered the other day about middles, I began thinking about their hobbies. In many ways, I can relate. You see, I’m a mom to a growing pre-teen. I’m also a Little. As a parent, I think I’m pretty much scarred from most animated shows out there.
My daughter went through her “Barney” phase. Then she went through her “Yo Gabba Gabba” phase. Then there was the “Spongebob Squarepants” phase, and now, currently she is into “Steven Universe”. Each one of these shows makes me shudder, so needless to say, they are not a part of my Little Space. But I love movies. In fact, I have a special connection with them. Here’s a quick story time for you.
I left home when I was 18 years old. At the time I was working at a fast food place for $7.50 an hour and working 40 hours a week. The work was tiring with little pay and zero thanks. But, at the end of the night when I was caked in sweat and smelled like donuts and coffee… I dragged myself down the block to the Blockbuster Video Store. (Do any of you remember that? 😉 ). Back then, I had saved my pennies to finally purchase a TV with a DVD player in it. I thought I was pretty fancy (lol). At night, when I was alone in the tiny bedroom I was renting, I would sit with my TV dinner and watch movies. Those movies were the only “sane connection” I had with the outside world. I was too tired to go out. Too broke to have friends. So, movies became my outlet. I saw love stories. I swooned over attractive actors. I laughed at musicals and comedies. And yes, I got aroused by the many “Sex in the City” episodes that I watched. But I digress.
Movies have been an important part of my life, which is why I enjoy them in my Little Space today. But, just because I’m a Little doesn’t mean that I want to watch cartoons. Quite the opposite, actually! I love a good rom-com even when I’m feeling small, and maybe… if you’re a Middle, you do too? Here’s 5 movies available on Netflix right now to enjoy whether you’re in “big me”, “little me”, or “middle me” space! Now, let’s dive in:
Movie #1: “Falling Inn Love”
Movie #2: “The Croods”
Movie #3: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society
Movie #4: Pocahontas
Movie #5: Mamma Mia!
Alright, my friends. That’s it from me for this post. I hope you all enjoyed it, and I hope you enjoy these movies too! If you liked this post, go ahead and smash that like button. Hit that follow button if you’re new here, and I will see you back here for the next topic.
