Chubby Little Photo Challenge Day 21: Do Your Favorite Exercise!

Good Morning Friends!

Today you get a double dose on Chubby Little Challenges, because I’ve been behind the scenes working on a very special project for YOU…. to be unveiled very soon! 😉 In the meantime, let’s discuss exercise. When it comes to exercise… I could be better (lol). I admit that I have bursts of times where I work out consistently, and then life gets busy and I slip off again. But there are a few types of exercises that I adore:

  • Yoga
  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • Dance

Today, I’d like to break down these 4 exercises and show you how I weave “Little Me” into my exercises, in hopes of giving you some inspiration for your own exercise time. Are you ready to explore with me? Then, let’s dive in! ❤

I. Yoga 

I love yoga, but sometimes yoga videos can be boring. And don’t get me started on doing an actual yoga class in person! I have this irrational fear of going to a yoga studio, being in downward dog or some other contorted position, only to “break wind” at the most inopportune time when everything is silent and zen. No, no, no! I much prefer doing yoga at home. There are two ways that I make yoga fun for me to enjoy. The first is to use an extra thick yoga mat. I purchased the Amazon Basics extra thick yoga mat because sometimes my knees hurt a little being down on the hardwood floors. It’s a life saver. But it’s the “Cosmic Kids” yoga video that I really enjoy doing. (I also get my kiddo doing it with me too). These free YouTube videos are so much fun to follow along to, and you can tap into your inner “Little Me” as you twist, bend, and follow along with each creative story.

II. Walking

When it comes to walking, this is probably the easiest thing you can do to get your exercise in. 99% of the time I’m wearing my FitBit Charge 2. Now this isn’t exactly Little, but your walking shoes can be adorable and little! The next time you need a new pair of walking shoes, consider getting shoes in your favorite color! I have a pair of pink Adidas shoes that put me in little space whenever I wear them. You can also fill your Spotify or Apple Music playlists with a special little music. Nightcore, Cascada, Fifth Harmony, Lady Gaga, and Omi are all great artists to exercise to that will put you in a happy little state of mind.

III. Swimming

Now when it comes to swimming, I encourage you to let your freak flag fly!! Wear a bathing attire that represents your inner Little. Personally, I have two bathing suits that make me feel Little while still covering up my “lady bits”. The first is an adorable one piece swimsuit by LittleforBig called “Vintage Sweets” ($35 USD) and the second is a two-piece ombre pastel rainbow “Love” swimsuit ($20 USD) by Dresslily.


IV. Dance

The last form of exercise that I enjoy is dance. Now there are literally thousands of different forms of dance, but for the sake of this post I’m going to focus on songs that I love to dance to in Little Space. As a mom, I’m no stranger to rocking out to kids music with my daughter. While she may have moved on from “Debbie Doo TV”, I will love this ribbon dance that you can do with ribbon, handkerchiefs, or tissue paper. It’s so much fun and the beat is very catchy.
