Irish Stew in 4 Easy Steps! [Little Space Recipe + Collaboration!]

Games and Grub

Good Evening Friends,

As we wrap up the day I want to share with you an exciting collaboration that I’m doing with my husband, Captain Taliron Quinn, over on his blog called “Games and Grub”! We are both gamers, (so much so that we even met in a video game!), and so for the entire month of October we will be bringing you 31 dishes + 31 video games that every Little would love! I chose 31 games for my husband to explore this month and review for you, so please make sure to head on over to his blog and check them out!

Tonight’s dish to kick off this series is: Irish Stew!

It’s rustic. It’s comforting. It’s simple. But wow is it soothing on a cool night. So! Now that the weather is cooling down, give this hearty but easy stew recipe a try. Are you ready to get your Little hands busy in the kitchen? Then, let’s dive in!! ❤

Irish Stew in 4 Easy Steps

  • 3 tbsp. olive oil for frying
  • 2 lbs. boneless beef for stew meat
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 parsnips, chopped
  • 3 potatoes, quartered
  • 1 leek, chopped
  • 1 bunch of chopped kale
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 tsp. dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. salt and black pepper

Step 1: In a large pot, drizzle olive oil and turn on the stove to medium high heat. Brown the beef for several minutes.

Step 2: Toss in all of your chopped vegetables.

Step 3: Cover everything with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Step 4: Serve hot with a slice of hearty bread and dig in!

Alright my friends, that’s it from me for this post. Please make sure you head on over to my husbands blog and show him some love. Smash that follow button and hit the like button, and we will see you back here tomorrow for another “Games and Grub”!

Much love,

~Kitten/Punkin xx

  1. There are only a couple of dishes that are so GOOD that it makes everyone fall deathly silent as we get lost in the swirl of flavors in our mouth…You’d think it was the silent game when we ate this! It was very delicious and I can’t wait for you to make it again! ❤ I love you so much, Kitten ❤

  2. Love this month’s challenge. Hubby and I got married twice on different mmorpg games. That was how we maintained our LDR for around 6 years or so. We love to cook at home as well. A pot of japanese curry is one of our favorites. =D

    1. Thank you, Kit!! How exciting!! What two games did y’all get married on? Hubby and I have gotten married in WoW and GW2! It’s funny that you mention curry because that’s what’s coming up next! LOL! You know, we could totally go out on a double date and no doubt we’d all have a blast! *BIG HUGS* to you, my friend! 🙂

      1. Haha omg! This is so uncanny. We got married on Maple Story and Perfect World. Love the cute graphics on MS and love the fact I could tame pets in PW. Hubby was a huge GW fan before I met him…and I converted him to MS then PW. Lol. He is more of a gamer than I am though. Said he started playing games when he was in his diapers. Lol. Anyway, I do think a double date is a great idea since we are all in Calinfornia =3
