Good Morning Friends!
I am so excited to share with you this amazing collaboration that I’m doing all month long with Daddy C! He and I are bringing you reading and poetry every single day this month! Here on my blog I will be sharing books that are perfect to read to (and with) your Little, and on his blog he will be hosting a poetry challenge to flex your creative muscles.

Today’s Little Book is: “Peep and Egg: I’m NOT Trick-or-Treating” by: Laura Gehl, Pictures By: Joyce Wan
Once upon a time there were two little chicks named Peep and Egg. Peep was very excited to go trick-or-treating for Halloween. But his best buddy Egg did not want to go trick-or-treating. All of the barnyard animals were dressed up for Halloween and that made Egg feel very scared! He didn’t want to go down to the duck pond because the ducks looked like duckling vampires! He didn’t want to go see the cows in the pasture because they looked like mummies! Peep really wanted Egg to experience trick-or-treating, so he came up with a plan to save the day….
I loved reading this picture book because the story is whimsical and the pictures are absolutely adorable. I especially loved looking at all of the kawaii-pumpkins. I give this book TWO PAWS UP! as a great book to read in Little Space! I hope you check it out. To find this book you can:
- Purchase “Peep and Egg: I’m Not Trick-or-Treating” on Amazon
- Check out your local library
- Or you can watch this read-aloud video of the book! 🙂
