Good Evening Friends,
I’m keeping this post short before I crawl in bed and continue to nurse myself through this cold. But this evening hubby and I went on another $5 date. This time we headed to our local library to support The Friends of the Library by purchasing $5 worth of books! I absolutely love to read. I’m currently reading “Abandon” by: Meg Cabot (a YA novel loosely based on the Hades/Persephone myth) that is sooo good! So tonight’s adventure was so much fun to do together. After he got off work we hopped in the car and off we went to the library. Normally this is a ritual for us every Saturday morning at 10. So it was nice to go on a weeknight when the library was more quiet.
The books on sale were so cheap that for $5 we could scoop up several choices! Unfortunately I didn’t see anything that piqued my interest. So, we kept our $5 and decided to head to the grocery to pick out an easy dinner. If I’m keeping it real, I wasn’t in the best mood. I was feeling under the weather. My joints ached. I just wanted to go home and sleep. So there I was standing in the middle of the grocery store frowning when my husband grabbed my shoulders. “Close your eyes” he said, and I obeyed, “now what do you want to put in your stomach?”. All I could think was a charcuterie platter. It was simple, but when I’m feeling really icky and don’t want to cook, a spread of hearty bread, cheese, meats, and fruit sounds heavenly. So that’s just what we did…
Alright my friends, that’s it from me for this post. I know it’s short and sweet, but I hope you all enjoyed it. The Friends of the Library has locations at most public libraries so be sure to check out your local branch to get involved and pick up books on the cheap! Have a wonderful night everyone, and I will see you back here for the next topic!
Much love,
~Kitten/Punkin xx
Feel better!!! β₯
There is a fantastic used bookstore downtown that Daddy and I love to get lost in. π We can spend hours in there looking at a zillion books and chattering about them. So far we haven’t brought any home. One of these days. π Fun date, Penny! β₯
