Day 4 of the P&C Collaboration: “The Pumpkin Fair”

P&C Reading

Good Afternoon Friends,

I love a good book that rhymes. Somehow rhyming taps into “Little Me” in a heartbeat and today’s book in my collaboration with Daddy C does just that. “The Pumpkin Fair” By: Eve Bunting is a happy tale about a little girl who chooses a pumpkin to be her prized pumpkin for the fair. But a boy makes fun of her pumpkin, because the pumpkin has spots. “Beauty marks” she calls them. This happy, rhyming story shows many different fun activities the girl does at the pumpkin fair.

As we inch ever closer towards Halloween, “Little Me” is beginning to grow excited. I can’t wait to carve a pumpkin. I can’t wait to eat more autumnal foods. I can’t wait to go to the local harvest festival, and this picture book encompasses all of the wonderful things to do during Fall. I know you’ll love it as much as I do.

** Please be sure to hop over and read Daddy C’s poetry challenge for Day 4 and stay tuned for more of his posts every day of the month! **

Alright my friends, that’s it from me for this post. I hope you all enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more reading adventures as we meander together through this challenge all month long!

Much love,

~Kitten/Punkin xx
