Good Afternoon Friends!
I hope you all are having a great weekend! Today is an arts and crafts kind of day for me as I kick off my weekly Saturday series “Saturday Slumber Party”. Slumber parties always make me think of rocking out to music (with a hairbrush microphone), staying up late, and doing a fun activity with people you enjoy. These arts and crafts activities are designed to put you into Little Space and make you feel happy inside and out! I hope you enjoy them! 🙂 Are you ready to get creative with me? Then, let’s dive in!!
Today’s activity is: Kawaii Cactus Craft!
For this craft you will need:
- 2 small pots
- 4 pieces of dark green felt
- 4 pieces of light green felt
- 1 piece of pink felt
- 1 small bottle of yellow puffy paint
- 1 bag of cotton balls
- 1 jar of pebbles
- 1 jar of rubber cement
Step 1: Gather your materials.
Step 2: Paint your pots to a desired design. Then let them completely dry. (I went with a basic kawaii face).
Step 3: Trace a cactus on your dark green and light green felt and cut them out. Flip the felt inside out to hide the tracing lines.
Step 4: Cut out flower petals from the pink felt.
Step 5: Glue the petals to the tops of the cacti.
Step 6: Stuff the cacti with cotton balls and seal the edges with tacky glue.
Step 7: Make random dashes with yellow puffy paint over the cacti.
Step 8: Fill the pots with pebbles to secure the cacti and stick them in the pots! And you’re done!
I hope you have a fabulous Saturday, my friends! Hit that like button if you enjoyed this craft. Smash that follow button if you’re new around here, and I will see you back here for the next topic!
