The Cliffs of Time [Poetry]

Standing on the cliffs of time, I wait.

Waiting in this ever-changing game we play, I wait.

Looking across time and space, I wait.

Waiting for you.

Waiting for us.

Waiting for that moment.

A moment that I wonder if it will ever come.

My heart thuds to the pulse of life.

Time continues ever turning and my blood rushes in a fierce cry.

Time is sacred. Valuable. And fluid.

Like a withering flower I wait and wonder,

Though waiting was never my style.

I stand on the cliffs of time and wait.

Waiting for the promise of tomorrow.

And a message from you.

      1. It reminds me of some of the coast along the south of England. There is a cave (looks nothing like your photo though it immediately reminded me of it) near Tintagel that I have always called Merlin’s cave and when over there I have tried visit it each time

  1. “Time continues ever turning and my blood rushes in a fierce cry” – what a mysterious, soul-gripping line!

*me sees* “waiting for a message from you”.

*methinks* OMG you are preaching bars. Bars of littlespace. Bars of being needy. Bars of love and loneliness.

    *me does: faints*
