Good Afternoon Friends!
This afternoon I’m sliding in here to share with you a fun activity that Daddy and I did today: Valentine’s Trail Mix! I don’t know about you, but around here we can get pretty snacky. Yes, Daddy and I love all things sweet and salty. So, I thought that pulling together a fun trail mix combination would be a great little space activity to do together. Little did I know how fun it would be! But first, let’s break down my preferred trail mix combination. For trail mix you can use any of your favorite snack foods, dried fruit, or little treats to toss together. You simply want to avoid anything that is too greasy, sticky, or hard to chew.
Here are the ingredients that we chose to toss into our Valentine’s-themed trail mix:
- Heirloom popcorn
- Honey Nut Cheerios (that are shaped liked hearts for a limited time, and oh-so-cute!)
- Blueberry Granola
- Dried cranberries
- Pistachios, shelled
- Banana chips
- And Valentine’s M&Ms! ❤
Now for the fun part… mixing it all together! I got a large 46-cup storage tub and began layering everything as I went. “Little Me” sprang to the forefront as I danced around pouring a bit of everything in the tub. Finally I took a large spoon and mixed it all around and…. TADA! I had made Valentine’s Trail Mix! 🙂 I hope you all make some too the next time you want a sweet and salty treat!
