Good Morning Friends!
How is everyone today? It has been a week off from my blog, and I’ve been busy as a bee. (You’ll see why throughout this post). As life has gotten busier, I’ll be making once or twice a week posts on here to share with you what I’m up to, and things that are making me feel happy. It is my hope that this post makes you smile, and that you all have a wonderful weekend. That said, let’s dive in!
I. Quiet and Gorean Subculture:
For a while now I have been transitioning in my identity as a submissive with the Captain. There are elements of me that will always remain Little, while other parts of me have yearned for a more “mature” side of submission. This past week the Captain and I have sat down to talk at length about where we want to take our D/s relationship. We began moving towards a more M/s dynamic, one that has allowed me to become quiet and still. A path of consensual slavery that allows me to disconnect from the outside world and simply serve him, and it’s beautiful. I have so much to learn, but we are both excited to be baby stepping our way towards a more Gorean lifestyle.
For those unfamiliar with the Gorean subculture, it is based upon the sci-fi novels (27 of them!) by John Norman. While the world of Gor is often viewed as ruthless, misogynistic, and barbaric, practitioners of Gor are anything but. However, there are stark differences between BDSM and the Gorean lifestyle. Most Goreans do not wish to be associated with BDSM, because they do not practice S&M with the intention of pleasure. Instead, submissives/kajira are treated as treasure and disciplined when needed. The life of a kajira is one based upon trust, honor, responsibility, and loyalty. It is a life where you are put together, and strive to be desirable and alluring. It is seductive and reminds me of sexy belly dancers and French odalisques. In modern Master/kajira relationships, there is a quiet, submission that occurs as the Master treasures his slave as his most prized possession and nourishes her with all that he is.
So, am I still a “practicing Little”? Yes, to some degree I am. While my Little side has taken a break from playing and painting, it is still most definitely there and I think it always will be. In the meantime, my submission to the Captain remains the focus on my attention regardless of the head space that I’m in. 🙂

II. “Call the Midwife”, “Love is Blind”, and Netflix Shows:
The Captain would hardly admit to it, but he loves trashy reality TV just as much as I do. 😉 If you ever wonder if you’re doing okay in life, watch one of these shows and then pat yourself on the back (lol). In all seriousness though, I am hooked to watching “Call the Midwife”, which is a period show set in 1950’s England. The actors are incredible, each episode has some breath-taking medical case where these young, early 20-something midwives, race out on bicycle and foot into London’s East End to help a poor mother in need. It’s truly a captivating show.
“Love is Blind”, on the other hand, is a reality TV show and a train wreck that you don’t want to watch… but it’s too tempting not to! The premise is that a group of guys and girls live in one giant building, totally apart. The only contact they have with one another is to enter “pods” where they speak through a Plexiglas wall. They never get to see each other. The kicker? From start to finish, these couples try to find, propose, and marry their future spouse all in one month! I know! Crazy, right? They spend 2 weeks in the pods. Then they meet their “match” face to face. They spend several days at a Mexican resort soaking up sun and … ahem…getting “better acquainted”. Then they move into an apartment building as a group together to “live” together and plan their super-fast wedding before finally walking down the aisle to decide: is love blind? Dun Dun Duuuuun! (All the episodes of Season 1 are up so binge watch it to your heart’s content 😉 ).
If you have any Netflix show recommendations, comment and let me know! The Captain and I are always on the hunt for new programs to watch. ❤
III. My New Blog!:
While I have been quiet, I’ve also been designing and creating a new, creative space for myself! Yes, Penny Berry will always be my first love, but I wanted a space where I could channel all of my nerdy energy and creative funsies. So, I created a new blog! This blog is called: MMORPG Recipes. It’s very to the point, hehe! As the title suggests, I will be cooking up dishes from various video games and then posting the recipes for everyone to enjoy. As I currently play Guild Wars 2, those are the recipes that I have started with. But make no mistake that I will definitely have recipes from: WoW, Rift, SWTOR, EQ2, etc. so stay tuned and feel free to come follow me there if you wish! ❤
Alright my friends, that’s it from me for this post. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. If you enjoyed this post, hit that like button and let me know. Smash that follow button if you’re new around here, and I will see you back here for the next topic!
